Simone du Toit, a journalist for Interpreting the Aid Review, highlighted FITE as part of Dermalogica’s efforts to push the envelope on promoting financial independence for women worldwide. FITE “targets women in the US and in 56 other countries” by lending $1 every time a Dermalogica client goes online to joinFITE.org and allocates a code printed on specially-marked Dermalogica products.
Dermalogica founder Jane Wurwand explains: “This initiative is designed to help marginalized women in the belief that women’s financial independence is a key step in creating a healthy world economy. From the beginning of our business, we’ve been an active part in helping women get their start. And now we’re extending the concept beyond our own industry.”
